Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Just got my iphone 13 and activated it.
Are people saying they can port in a 2nd phone number, get another free phone 13, and use a $30/mnth service?
I tried looking back a few pages but couldn't find the specifics of how this works.
Log into your Metro account, near where it lists your Line(s) there are options to Add Phone, Add Tablet, Add Watch, etc. Select Add Phone then go through the process to order another i13 with port-in. After selecting the Plan, it should show that the cost for the plan is $30 as an additional line on a $55 plan. Be aware that the number of discounted phones you can order is randomly/secretly determined by Metro. I was able to get one Moto Stylus and two i13's, but some people couldn't order even a 2nd phone. All you can do is try, and hope you won't get the dreaded "Call Us to Order" after submitting your order.

How are people managing to order more phones if they had ordered in the past years? I ordered a couple of phones a year ago. Now my address has also changed. Still, I've been unable to order even a single phone. Get the error on the last step every single time. Tried different cards, browsers, wifi, VPN, cellular connection. Nothing has worked and metro won't even let me order a single phone.
Metro blocked my address/orders in June last year. Around October, Metro sent an email to my daughter (same address, who previously had a Metro account) saying "Some relationships are worth keeping..." and listed some phone promos. So I signed up again with her info and successfully ordered several phones and tablets. Early this month, I took a chance and ordered under my own name, successfully got a Moto Stylus 2025 and two i13's. You might want to try every few months or so.

Yup. Am I the only one who stopped by a Metro store today and picked up a free scarf. They even waived the activation fee! 😊
So you ordered 13 and only paid tax on the original price?

I just got the scarf. The activation fee comment was meant as a joke. Never ever go to a Metro store to purchase a phone.

I got a iPhone 13 for $55, active on first month for over a week now. I tried adding another iPhone 13 or 16 and get this - You're not eligible to add a new line. To learn more and explore further options, contact us at 1-888-8-METRO-8. Any ideas why or how I can still order another iPhone?

Has anyone recently been able to create a new Metro account and port in their first phone number? I swear it feels like they just shut down account creation as of late

Thanks to everyone in the thread! I activated with a google voice number without issue today. Is it safe to delete the google voice number, generate a new one, and order again? I imagine all I need to do is not renew the service on metro's website (turn off auto-renew)?

Have you ordered your phone, received it, and activated it? When ordering, you pick a PIN number. You don't create your Metro account until you have received the phone and activate it using your order number, last name, and zip code. Porting takes place at activation. After activation, Metro will let you login using your phone number and the PIN you picked. Then it will text a security code to your phone, which you need to enter to login.

Since you can only port-in an active number, It's always a good idea to place an order with port-in several days before the port-in number expires. That will give you a cushion in case Metro site is down, or the item is temporarily out of stock, or delayed delivery due to weather, etc.
I just did it with valid acct# and PIN, but "Unfortunately can't complete your order online" after ""Place the order". I order only 1phone and 1 two years ago. Here is my problem: StraightTalk deactivated my phone #. Will I have problem with 60-day unlocking? TIA.

Don't delete GV number until you can send and rec've texts, AND make and accept phone calls.

Was your StraightTalk phone activated before 1/20/26? Verizon changed their policy on that date and their phones (ST, TW, TF, etc) activated on/after that date needs 365 days of service to be unlocked. If your phone was activated before that date, it should be unlocked 60 days after activation, even if deactivated.
One "nice" thing about getting your number deactivated by ST but not ported-in to Metro, your phone line will become a "zombie". It won't be shown in ST system as active, but it will continue to work for calls/texts/data long after its original expiration date. I have two phones like that, they should have expired in December but they're still working to this day.
