Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

A year is a long time. Did you just let it sit in a drawer or use it as a media device?

Saw a msg. on Metro's website (and the rep confirmed) that you will get a $100 Mastercard after 3 months of paid service, so it works out to 3 months of service for $55.
the line needs to be active in order to get the $100 gc, which means you need to pay for the 4th month

can we change the port out information? Got the port out information much earlier. When I get the phone and activate it, it will probably be more than 7 days. Will the port out information expire? When I ordered and put in the port out information, it said it reserved something successfully. I cannot remember clearly what it said. Will it be ported successfully if the port out information expires. Or we have a way to change the port out info?
If the order said your port-in number was successfully reserved then you're fine. The number is sort of "owned" by Metro now. When you activate the phone your previous carrier will release the number.

I got a 13 now I'm currently using with a cracked screen other than that I'm perfectly happy with. Apple wants around 250$ for a screen. I'm tempted to get one of these just to remove the screen for 50$ and put on my existing phone. Not a bad deal if you want to stay on metro for a year.

Got a number through Lyca. All was going well and the port reservation was successful but at the end Metro said, your security is important to us. Call us. Should I call or just try again?

Just received my first phone (iPhone 13) which I ordered 3 days ago using GV number. Turned it on and it self activated. Was then able to log into my Metro account using the text message it sent my phone, and was able to order a second phone (iPhone 16e) for $139 including California tax. Went through smoothly using a second GV number from another Google account I had. Thanks everyone for the help! Pretty easy process for me, but I guess I got lucky.

Oh, and a reminder to anyone porting GV number, while the port appear instantaneous, it is not! It actually takes 2-3 days to finalize because GV is treated as a landline provider. That means they have to jump through a bunch of extra steps compared to a mobile carrier. So know that it will be only 1/2 working until the actual port completes. You will know the port is done when the number disappears from your Google Voice account. DO NOT DELETE IT YOURSLEF!! That will mess things up. Give is 3 days + for it to delete itself and complete the port.

Had trouble ordering online like everyone else, then tried this with 2 different cards on the phone and still ran into same issue. Maybe I am banned? Have ordered 1-2 in the last few years with no issue.

It's pretty tricky and you will not likely have a water resistant phone. you have to transfer the camera or lose face ID and I believe unless you get software to bless the new screen truetone will no longer function.

Let me tell you about a little thing called apple trade in...

Years ago, iPhone 6 plus 7 plus I once changed a screen . I was actually pretty proud I could do it considering I never did anything like that before. I should have known it's much more difficult now than before lol .

OK, that is not normal. It would be worth calling in for that one.
