MARVEL Cosmic Invasion sees the tyrannical Annihilus unleashing his Annihilation Wave in a galaxy-spanning assault that endangers all life, from the streets of New York City to the Negative Zone. A roster of 15 Marvel superheroes—including Spider-Man, Wolverine, She-Hulk, Captain America, and cosmic allies like Silver Surfer and Rocket Raccoon—band together, swapping tag-team partners mid-battle to deliver combos and specials against the invaders.

This pixel-art beat 'em up supports 1-4 players via drop-in local and online co-op with crossplay, featuring a 15-16 stage campaign that takes 3-4 hours for the main story or 8-10 hours for full completion. Nostalgic pixel perfection with fluid, chaotic co-op shines in this love letter to arcade brawlers, though its brevity and simplicity draw minor gripes, reflected in its Very Positive Steam rating of 1,515 reviews and Metacritic scores around 80.

Looks like the old Turtles in Time arcade game. Wonder if it's worth it, reviews are good

I bought it pretty quickly and yes it's worth it. Of course, it's an old school beat em up, but it also has some good variations between the different characters you can play. I do wish all characters could block and dodge (they get one or the other) but it all plays well. And the tag system is more robust than just switching in and out. You can call in assists, combos moves, and I think supers too. I didn't really use it as much as I could do sure.

Worth getting now or waiting a few more months?
