You won't find a new 15" Macbook Air with 512GB for this price, unfortunately. And some of us really prefer an OLED screen, which Apple has been surprisingly slow to adopt.

16GB RAM will bottleneck the system pretty bad for anything more than lightweight use. I'd strongly recommend something with 24GB+ RAM. I wouldn't spring for this, personally.

Also, if you want a MacBook, you'll buy a MacBook. It's not some super deep secret that Windows users have never known existed. There's a reason someone wants a GPU, OLED, or just plain don't want to have to use workarounds to have things run Windows.

I agree. I do office work, pdfs edition, light stuff and have a laptop with 16gb and it is always at 90% ram usage. 24Gb or more is good.

Does that MacBook Air have a GPU at $800? Of course it doesn't, I didn't even have to check.
TLDR: Completely different machines (for countless reasons). If you are shopping for one, you likely shouldn't consider the other.

Seems like a pretty good deal, wish the ram we're upgradeable. At least it's ddr5.

Don't know if it's worth $1500 this seems to be the right price point?
