Sales on Olympic weights are so, so much better than they were back when I was putting together my home gym ~12 years ago. Like, often half the best-case scenario price, in nominal dollars. Congratulations to everyone who gets to benefit from this.

(I'm not too grumpy about it—even at 2014 prices my home gym paid for itself pretty fast. I just never would have expected the nominal price of weights to go down.)

F**k it! I bought these after thinking about it more. Now I'll use my iron plates only for non-floor-impact exercises. I'll devote this set to deadlifts. Much less clanging! Can always sell these to get most if not all my money back, including the taxes.

Can't even buy used ones for this price.
