Community Reviews
Samsonite Omni 2 is a lightweight hardside set that packs well and has held up through years of frequent travel, with intact handles and wheels and solid real world durability. The external USB port with an internal battery holder adds handy airport charging, and the 28 inch checked bag is the most practical size in the set for many trips. The 19 inch carry on is notably small, and the 28 inch can be oversized if expanded, so airline rules may matter. A dependable travel set if the size mix fits your packing style.
Common Questions (5)
The 19-inch carry-on is reported to be very small and substantially less spacious than other bags, with some owners not using it at all. It can still work as a carry-on, but it is not the best choice if maximizing packing space is the priority.
The 28-inch bag is technically oversized when expanded, and that can matter on some airlines. It has been used without extra charges on several flights, but the expanded size may still be an issue depending on the airline and how strictly the gate agent checks it.
The set has held up well over years of frequent travel, with intact handles and wheels and no cracks after heavy use. The shells are lightweight and can dent if dropped hard, but the luggage still remains functional.
The 24-inch is considered too small and the 30-inch too large for checked baggage, making the 28-inch the preferred middle ground. It gives enough space without pushing you as quickly into weight problems from overpacking.
Yes. The carry-on has an external USB port connected by a cable to an internal holder for a battery pack, so you can charge a device while moving through the airport.

i lent out the 24" size and it came back with like a 3 inch dent on one of the corners. no cracks but its dented for sure. i travel a fair amount and so we have no idea how it happened but i am guessing it dropped fully packed from a decent height directly on that corner. of course, the friend i lent it to "has no idea". oh well, i still recommend the omni series.
of note, i never had an issue getting on a plane with the 20" carry on for delta, american or jetblue. and the larger ones checkin no problem as well.
Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S, though.
