They're plenty good enough for the average person looking to do maintenance on their home or do projects around the house.

These are all low end tools, but if you barely need to use them, they'll be good enough. You can always upgrade tools later if you need to.

So if I'm understanding the two of you...Those tools are on the low end of quality, plenty good enough for the average homeowner to do basic maintenance and projects around their home?

I've used Ryobi stuff for years, for yard work and tools. Solid over all, never any issue, and my drill has been beat to hell.

This is a really good kit for homeowners, not junk, decent stuff with power do what most people will need.

I mean I like it, I have a lot more batteries and the tools above. Quite honestly it's super handy just to yank that saw out and Buzz some Quick Cuts. As for the light and it's been way more handy than I have expected, you can use it as much as you want and if it dies I have a battery backup. So it's super useful for me. As for the driver it worked good for removing a Loctite screw that I had, I did use a little bit of heat from a soldering iron but the tap tap tap tap broke the seal. And these drivers are way better than the Black & Decker one that they replaced. Not to mention how much easier a job is if you're not constantly switching out between a driver bit and a screwdriver bit on the the same machine. That being said I've used a DeWalt a few times and the Ryobi is good enough for me. As for the saw one more thing I was cutting a horse mat which evidently has steel or something in it and with the rubber and The Binding I just went ahead and grab the corded skill saw that I have because the little blade did stop.

Ryobi is totally fine if you're just looking to do stuff around the house a few times a year. I really don't understand people who say you absolutely positively must get Milwaukee, Makita, or at least DeWalt if you're even thinking about buying power tools.

They are definitely NOT low end for quality. They work fine and are good quality and reliable enough for almost any homeowner doing normal home improvement stuff. They just aren't the "high end" HP brushless line which have slightly more power (usually 10% to 20% more power and/or speed depending on the tool in question). I've been using this regular (not HP brushless) drill for about 5 years and it works great and has enough power to drill through anything I've needed it to including using a 1/2" drill bit going all the way through 4x4 wood beams, as well as drilling 3/8" holes through mild steel 1/4" thick plates. I'm sure it can do 1/2" holes but I just haven't needed to do that yet. I did get the HP brushless version of this drill about a month ago which was basically free in a combo deal when I needed a 1/4" impact driver also and the newer HP brushless drill is slightly higher RPM and torque than my original drill but not a big difference, and both feel like they are equally good quality and solidly made. The chuck for the newer drill seems like it is noticeably better with more gripping power (less unwanted slipping/spinning of smooth cylindrical shank bits) for the same collar tightness when I tighten both collars to the same hand-tightness. Don't get me wrong, the original drill's chuck works fine and I've only had it slip a little when I was using a 1-1/2" hole saw bit on 2x4 wall studs but after tightening it harder it worked fine. The newer HP brushless drill chuck just grips noticeably tighter for the same amount of hand-tightening force applied when cranking down the collar because it has a lower gear ratio. I used to be a "brand snob" and use all DeWalt tools with a couple Makita because everyone said those brands were great quality while being a little less expensive than Milwaukee, but they got to be so damn expensive ($120-$300 per bare tool with no battery) that I tried what seemed to be an amazing Ryobi multi-tool deal at HomeDepot that included a drill, reciprocating saw, and jigsaw for around $90? and figured I could return it if they tools were underpowered and sucked or felt too cheap, but amazingly they were equally as good as my DeWalt tools at 1/3 the price so I've switched all my tools to Ryobi starting about 5 years ago and out of the 22 or so different Ryobi tools I have now with 6 regular batteries and 6 HP batteries, all still work great with no problems so I'm 100% happy with my decision to switch brands.

I don't know why you were replying to me. I was just summarizing what the two above were fighting about (even though they agreed). 🤷
