Dr Martens leather is notoriously trash (plastic) but if you HAD to pick one, crazy horse is the "better" choice right?

The made in England ones, like the Commander Oxfords says: "Our partnership with CF Stead & Co. brings together two British heritage brands for footwear steeped in refined sophistication and history. But it doesn't appear the promo code works on the commander oxfords for some reason. I'm guessing it might not work on any of the Made in England ones.

Crazy Horse leather is a variant of full grain so yes, it's the better choice over their synthetic/vegan if you prefer a natural leather. Crazy Horse is typically noted for looking more distressed and developing a more variable patina vs. other shoe leathers because the primary treatment is just oiling or waxing. In other words, CH is likely to look "worn" faster , though the integrity is still quite good because it is a full grain leather. You CAN strip the wax and polish them like any full grain leather but IME they will still tend to look more matte than other full grain shoe leathers in most cases.

Thanks, great deal on the Mary Janes, nappa soft leather, wonder how hard they are to break in since a lot of Dr. Marten's leather shoes need a ton of saddle soap and stretching.
