What I personally don't like is "90 day warranty" from VIP Outlet, but no mention from the manufacturer. Also how do they have so many of these monitors with "New Damaged Box - Inventory is in Brand New, Unused & Fully Functional condition however the outer packaging will show signs of scuffs, dents, rips or may have also been repackaged.." Seems odd. And what do they mean "fully warranted" when they also state the warranty is 90-days. "Fully warranted" from whom? I'd probably buy if I knew Samsung would warranty after the 91st day but based on the listing....can't be sure as Samsung could argue the product wasn't truly new nor was the "refurbisher" an authorized retailer.

This 34 inch Samsung Odyssey G55T is a curved 3440 by 1440, 165 hertz gaming monitor that looks strong for the price, especially for bright rooms and everyday play. The panel type is the key detail to verify, since the listing does not spell it out clearly and that omission is treated as a red flag. The seller also draws scrutiny because the warranty language is only 90 days and the open box condition can be inconsistent. Still, the monitor itself has been described as solid and good looking, with some purchases from VIP Outlet arriving as described and resolved cleanly when issues came up.
Common Questions (4)
VIP Outlet has delivered items as described for some purchases and has resolved issues with returns, missing items, and refunds. Other purchases arrived heavily used or incomplete despite "new damaged box" wording, so the deal can be a gamble even when the price is good.
The G55T is a 34-inch curved VA gaming monitor, and that panel type is expected at this price. IPS and OLED alternatives in this size and price range are typically much more expensive or slower, so VA is the practical tradeoff here.
The listing language mentions a 90-day warranty and also says "fully warranted," but the manufacturer warranty is not clearly stated. That matters because Samsung may not honor coverage after day 91 if the unit is treated as not truly new or sold through an unauthorized channel.
Yes. It was reportedly on sale new for $229 at Walmart until a couple of weeks ago, so a new-price drop may happen again if you want to avoid open-box/refurbished risk.

I just know that my last purchase, a surround sound speaker set, described as this item - "New Damaged Box - Inventory is in Brand New, Unused & Fully Functional condition however the outer packaging will show signs of scuffs, dents, rips or may have also been repackaged." - had a smashed in corner on the subwoofer and no cables other than the power, so I had to buy the cables for the satellite speakers separately and use audio cables I already had.
I spent several weeks emailing them with no response, and finally when I threatened to go direct to eBay, they responded and eventually refunded me $20 (barely more than the cost of the speaker cables). No concern about the incorrect description of the condition or the audio cables (since I hadn't explicitly purchased them for this). I felt insulted, and they made it clear they feel no obligation to honor their listings. They basically just chalked it up as an "oopsie" and told me to get lost after throwing $20 at me. So, as for me and my house, we'll get lost and not worry about doing business with them ever again.
