Ridiculous. Get an invisible fence and properly train your dog.
These aren't meant to leave your dog on 24/7. We hook our dogs up just to do their business, and they are back inside. $1,000's + of dollars for invisible fence installed and training. If you have a dog that likes to be outside, then it may be a good investment. We don't have outside dogs, so this fits the bill, and we only have a 25ft radius to pick up poop. Our dogs are well trained for off leash, so technically we don't need anything.

What's ridiculous is the expectation that everyone that has a dog needs to buy an invisible fence. I love dogs but they are animals meant to serve us, not the other way around. Most dogs would rather be outside on this than inside sitting in front of a TV.

These long tie outs are also good for recall training in an open field, or if you're having a picnic/camping and don't want your dog bothering adjacent campsites.

i, and many other people, take their dogs camping. am i a bad dog owner if i dont buy a $600 jackery power station and buy a $300 portable invisible fence?
when my sister drops off her beagle for the weekend, is it my fault i didnt install an invisible fence in my yard? or my fault that i didnt train someone elses dog? are you going to call peta because i put him on one of these for 5 minutes?
im really glad you had the chance to virtue signal and let us know that you are better than other people because you train your dog and have an electric fense, but you might want to consider that other people live their lives differently than you and use these for perfectly responsible reasons.

Your dog would rather eat at an all you can eat buffet instead of the crap you feed it. Stop clowning around and TAKE CARE OF YOUR DOG!!!

In for one. In my city, dogs must be on a leash in the front yard, unless you have a fence.

I have a different tie-out with a spring on one side to (hopefully) reduce the shock at the end if a dog gets excited and tries to take off while attached to the tie out. I'm not sure how well it works but it seems like a good idea. Does anyone have a comparison between this one (without a spring) and one with a spring?

Vet tech friend said if that is a problem then you risk esophagus collapse due to injury, get a harness if you aren't using one already.

Was prepping for a camping trip... I tried fabric at first with my Great Pyrenees (145 lbs)... and he chewed through it within minutes. I have a longer version of the one in this post and it's worked well... but I may need to look into the spring action in case he gets excited and sprints off...

PS - appears as though all 3 colors (red/blue/white) are the same discounted price.
