The Amazfit Bip 5 GPS smartwatch stands out as a very low priced fitness watch with long battery life and broad phone compatibility. It is described as good enough for tracking workouts like pickleball, and the GPS, exercise features, and call handling are praised as especially strong for the price. Battery life is reported around 12 to 15 days, with Android and iPhone pairing working well. The main caveat is that the strap can break after a few months, and sleep tracking is not as dependable. A solid value if you want basic smartwatch features without paying much.
The strap can be good enough for everyday workout tracking at a very low price point.
The watch can track GPS workouts and exercise while supporting direct call answering from the wrist.
The battery life can reach at least 15 days with typical use.
The watch can pair with both Android and iPhone devices.
The calling feature may not work on some versions, based on prior experience with an earlier model.
Sleep tracking can be unreliable because nighttime wake-ups can disrupt tracking and bedtime identification.
The strap can break easily, sometimes after only a few months of use.
The IP68 rating may still mean it is not ideal for swimming.

The big negative is the sleep tracking is not great. It just can't figure out that many people get up in the middle of night to pee, maybe two or three times. No matter what, when I get up two or three hours after going to bed and sleeping, it freaks out, totally throws out any sleep tracking I know it was doing, and decides this was your real bedtime. All the sleep information from my real bedtime is just gone. Very frustrating. My Garmin watches were way better at sleep tracking.
