Well, terms of the offer say nothing about rewards use. One can pay $51 and rest with rewards. Not sure big YMMV.
With staples you never know what to expect unless someone try's it and report back.

Useless promo if they are selling AirPods or Apple Watch at higher prices you end up paying $100 more to get 50 cashback points which can be only used at Staples again to buy expensive products

Current AirPods selling at 130 which could be available elsewhere for 60-70 promos; Apple Watch 11 selling at $500 which is available at $300 elsewhere

Yea I just bought an apple watch from them Friday, but I price matched to Amazon so it was the same price.

I don't know how strict they are with price matches but you might be able to double dip there.

I paid with points so I would not have gotten anything either way.

My store has ordered things from staples.com for me while price matching amazon/bby/walmart before. Much easier than doing price match via chat.

PM is always there and shouldn't be part of the deal due to YMMV. The price with PM still $209.99 + Tax and get $50 in points at staples. Glad it worked out for you.

If one were to want to use points towards part of an item from this promotion does anyone know for certain how it works?

I.e. can you pay for all of the item except $50 (pay $50 in cash) and still get the points back
or will paying for any amount of an item with points void the coupon/promo
