Received mine today. Has 1 battery cycle but warranty is expected to expire 5th April 2026. Is there way to update purchase date? Walmart order doesn't have the serial number of the MacBook

Contact Apple and request to update the purchase date. Have the receipt ready to upload. Say its open box new. But if the macbook was sold to Walmart more than 90 days Apple will likely say Walmart needs to update the sold date to customer on the Apple server. Then they can update the purchase date. However, its a still good deal. I have Tahoe 26.3 and runs great and fast.

I had the same issue where my unit which had an expiration date of August 2026. I called Apple and the best they can do is extend to October 2026 due to what you described above. I can try to call Walmart and have them update the sale date at a later time.
