Honestly very happy with my 9070 which I upgrade from a 3080 10gb. Not mad at all I didn't get an XT version (especially at the $450 I paid). Pulling 230-240w of total board power (80-100+ watts less than my 3080 did) with all the bells and whistles enabled in the games I'm playing at 1440p. I snagged a Gigabyte model and have no coil whine.
If you can get one for $500 then I would consider it a deal.

And most of the 9070's come with the XT heatsink. So you can boot to linux, perm configure them to use 300-350 watts (and perm undervolt) without bios flashing. And basically have an XT. Then you can always pull power back 30% using amd software, and be back to stock.
This is without question a fantastic deal. But I would be surprised if they had more than a small number of these in stock. I expect them to sell out in seconds.
