At 4k, about the same performance as RX 9070, so slower than a RX 9070XT, which has been on slick deals for $600-$640 often. Only get this if you have to DLSS, but FSR supposedly has caught up to about DLSS 4 quality now.

Was thinking the same thing. An RX9070XT would be a better bet at this price point unless married to Nvidia.

There are some people who have no choice but to use an Nvidia card, and can't find any Nvidia GPUs with 16gb of vram for this low.

Find a 9070XT available today for $640 shipped (so, not from microcenter) and post it for us.

oh, and you "forgot"
Ultimate Ray Tracing & Performance: The RTX 5090 is expected to remain the undisputed, high-end performance king, offering unmatched raw computational power compared to AMD's counterparts.
  • DLSS 4/5 Superiority: NVIDIA's DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) continues to offer superior image quality and motion handling compared to AMD's FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution), which is crucial for high-fidelity, high-refresh-rate gaming.
  • CUDA Ecosystem & AI Leadership: NVIDIA's CUDA platform remains the industry standard for AI development, training large language models (LLMs), and productivity software, making it essential for AI developers and professionals.
  • Blackwell Ultra Architecture (2026): With the rollout of Blackwell Ultra (B300) in 2026, NVIDIA is focusing on delivering 1.5x better AI performance and 50% more memory capacity to handle next-gen AI tasks.
  • Superior VR Experience: NVIDIA GPUs typically provide more stable, consistent performance and fewer issues with Quest Link and SteamVR, offering a smoother virtual reality experience.
  • Advanced Features (NVLink & Networking): For workstation or AI users, NVIDIA's proprietary NVLink allows for high-speed multi-GPU interconnectivity, which is often superior to AMD's scaling solutions.
  • Polished Software Support: NVIDIA generally offers more robust driver support, better video editing hardware acceleration, and superior performance in professional applications like Blender

This deals seems okay if you just want a video card today. FSR is comparable to DLSS 4 but still considered inferior. FSR is also supported on less games unless you use third party apps to convert DLSS calls into FSR. RX 9700 XT are not readily available at 600 to 650 anymore.

I mean... all of that might be true, but a 5090 is also like $2,000. the cards in question are in the $600-700 range.

A 5090 is $3400-$5500 right now and also that was a nauseating hyper-biased AI overview copy-paste and that individual didn't engage any brain power to produce that nonsense.
