Seasons and weather tend to be an issue.

Not fond of walking outside when it's like 5 degrees and icy.

Realistically, I didn't get to a point in my life where I need a treadmill because I exactly like exercising. I can go on my treadmill and distract myself by watching TV and I can use it even even it's cold as balls or raining.

It's not on sale, but check out the Xterra TR150, it's like $325 on Amazon right now.
I initially bought it because of the low price and because it requires relatively little headroom so it fit in our basement well.
However, I've had it for almost 5 years now and it's still going strong. Even survived a basement flooding.
It says 250lbs, but I started using it when I was like 280 without issue.
The track is fairly narrow and it only has manual incline, but still a great machine imo.

From my personal experience, that idea isn't great if you have to focus on hand movements.
You are generally bouncing around too much to type or use the mouse efficiently.
It was just easier to focus on what I was doing and getting it done then using a treadmill for 20 minutes an hour.

I WFH and use this. There is a certain speed where I'd say it takes a bit more concentration to do certain tasks at the computer, but with focus you quickly get used to it. I find up to about 2.5mph-3mph is when It becomes a little tricky. I like 1.5mph-2mph to do things like email, relatively routine clicking tasks, typing etc where you can still hold a conversation at that speed. I enjoy it, and it's a good way to get my steps in while working - during times I'd otherwise just be sitting down. Highly recommend it to anyone that can fit it into their lifestyle.

I use it, definitely have to explain to people when I am on video calls that I'm walking at my desk because you'll be bobbing around a little bit. I will say, using it above about 2 mph gets a little impractical. And while I walk at 2 mph is beneficial, it's not gonna do a whole lot for you healthwise, but it's better than nothing.
