While I can see the promo, even after signing into my alt ps account that's never had ps plus on it when scrolling down to actually subscribe, the price raises to MSRP.

Might be a Resub targeted offer. I can see it on my primary account, which had PS Plus premium up until Nov 2025. My wifes account never had PS plus and hers is showing $159.
Mine shows 35% off to upgrade for the duration of my mebershio (which basically mirrors this discount) It is also reflected in the Ps app on my phone. Thanks for posting!
I believe I've had PS Plus since it debuted on PS3 and my sub has never lapsed. That said, I think I'm gonna stop doing the annual subs and switch to month to month or something to lead up to Black Friday this year. Then I'll hope to just keep doing annual subs at a discount every November.

Mine expires in a day, but there is no option to change to the promo rate. Cancelling doesn't give you an option either so guess I'll try when it's well and truly expired.
I saw MSRP after signing in, then it asked me to sign in again, and it changed to 35% off (from $72.32 to $47) to change to Premium for the remainder of my subscription. I'm on Essential and it renewed last month. I'm probably not upgrading, but that's what I see.

I had to cancel my renew this year so I've been without for about 6 months and this was just the right timing.
