I used an e-gift card i bought from Target to renew mine. You have to go your account and, "redeem code" BEFORE you start shopping, then when you get to checkout it'll show up on the checkout page (you can't add it at checkout).

Hell yeah, my PS Plus just expired last weekend and I was hoping they'd run this deal again this year. I had just bought a $100 gift card for $83 through Eneba also (which I believe is still running) so basically this was $83 for the year, thanks OP!

This may seem dumb, but make sure that you're logged in. Mine said 159, but then I noticed that I wasn't logged in. Once I did, it dropped to 99.

Same. I was able to get a 25% discount. Still not great but at least it was something. Went to subscriptions management on the app, expiring premium subscription in a few weeks, clicked renew, want to charge $160, clicked cancel, offered $120.

I don't understand, I have never used Sony PlayStation Plus, yet it's a standard price. What's the point of a sale if it's "qualifying users"but doesn't describe what that exactly is? I don't have a PS5, but I've been debating getting one.

Have Xbox, but things like this makes me wonder this entire gaming generation is just messed up.

Like others have mentioned, I can see the upgrade offer as I'm currently on the Extra plan. Unfortunately, it would only be for the remainder of my subscription (about 60 days) and the renewal would be at the MSRP of $160. Good price for those that would have subbed anyway.

It's ridiculous you have to pay to play online in the first place. If you want to pay for it for the "Game Pass", that's fine, but for me not to be able to play a game I purchased online without the dumb sub is icky. Pushes me to buy every game I want to play online on Steam instead. I stopped giving my money to Sony long ago because of this, only use my PS5 for single player RPGs now
