The running man graphic next to the word speed may lead you to believe the max speed is somewhere above 3.1mph. The max speed is 5km/hr.

You wouldn't want to with such a short and narrow belt, zero room for error. Also, all of these cheap walking pads show disproportionate pictures. They make the machine look far larger than it is.
