Looks like a great option for gamers still running older cards which struggle to push pixels at 1440p. Mini LED and high refresh at this price is crazy.

Wtf? When did TCL get started making PC monitors? Shoot, if they carry a 4k option, I might actually take them up on their offer...

180 dimming zones. It's up to you to decide if this is enough.

There's an in-depth analysis of this monitor which dispels concerns over the number of dimming zones due to TCL's newer algorithms on reddit's monitor sub. Look for mknb06.

Would love an option of this from TCL but with the Google TV OS on it, too. I know some 4k60hz monitors form KTC have that, but I already have the TCL QM8K and love and trust them more.

I absolutely detest smart TV functionality, as the vast majority are already slow and glitchy from the factory, only getting slower and glitchier as time goes on. All the TVs settings and functionalities are often tied to the smart OS, so if the OS gets outdated and slow, it affects your entire experience (even if you try to connect a separate standalone smart device). I'd much rather have TVs go back to being non-smart and allow me to choose a device of my own. I would absolutely hate for monitors to adopt a similar practice.
