Just based on the mechanism and how weight shifting works, I wouldn't expect this to be a bifl, but may be good for a year or couple of years. You pay for what you get though! Just be sure not to drop and be relatively gentle with it

I'd recommend them at this price point.
There was one time when I was taking them out of the holder and one of the back plates came loose (not one that was supposed to be connected to the dumbbell). It ended up being user error. I realized that if you don't pull straight up, the smallest plate on the back can catch on the adjacent weight if it's attached to the dumbbell while you're lifting it out. Since being more mindful about pulling straight up, I haven't had any issues.
