I have this tablet. No issues with brightness, even outside. Solid performance at a great price with the Lenovo case. Pen works great too, love using it for crossword puzzles.

Got the 12gb version of this tablet for my son. The pen input lag is nearly nonexistent. Really responsive. Tablet is solid. Battery life is sufficient. Using it for Brawl Stars, Xbox Game Pass streaming, etc., it hasn't needed any more power.

Front page? This has been the price for most of the last 3 months. It goes up to low 300's sometimes but this $279 price seems to be the new norm.

I have the 256gb mediatek 8300 dimensity variant of this (xiaoxin pad pro 12.7) for the Chinese Market.
I just flashed the Global ROM last night following a recent YT video. Took a total of 30 minutes. Now no more random foreign letters on system prompts. I did run into boot loop (4 commands with android platform tools for fastboot and I was good)
Aliexpress few months back cost about 180 with folding case. Very happy with the performance. Thank God.
Edit: Considering this is the 128gb, if youre in some android ecosystem and have 30 minutes, go the China route and save yourself 120$ or more.

Quickly found 3 listings for Honor Pad 2 starting at $445.

So, for more money, more value?

I bought the base Idea Tab (not Pro, not Plus) for a family member and they love it. It was $130 on BF and includes a pen but no case.

Given personal experiences with the reliability of Lenovo tablets (mostly performance degrading over time) I'd be loathe to spend more than $150 on one, personally.

But again, we are extremely pleased with the 8GB/128GB Idea Tab (base) for the price we paid.

I've been hunting around AliExpress and cannot find a 256GB version with folding case and pen for anywhere near $180. Can you give us a link to where you bought yours for this price? Even if it's not $180 today, I'll be happy to keep an eye on it for the next sale. Thanks!

U can get it from china cheaper on sites like aliexpress. But, yes, for the price this is a good tablet, except unusable at sunlight with that 400nits, i would at least get the 11 inch lenovo with sd 8 gen 3 and 800 nits for a little more, if u cant affor honorpad
