This is actually better than buying direct thru the site I believe. See previous threads.
If you scroll down the listing, it says "direct from Dyson." Also in the description, it says "Comes with a 6-month warranty and lifetime Dyson support." PLUS the 2 year Allstate warranty.
I bought this deal a few months ago when it came around (absolute version). There was a (known) issue with the quick connect wand - where it connects with the built-in dusting and crevice tool. It doesn't lock when trying to connect, unless you disconnect it from the dust bin and try to block off one end as you connect it. Anyway, Dyson.com CS offered to replace the wand for free, but they're out of stock for who knows how long, so I've got to wait.
Besides that, the vacuum has been a delight.
