LG's 77 inch G5 is being framed as a premium OLED upgrade that stands out most for brightness, especially in very bright rooms or direct sun. The newer tandem OLED panel and panel warranty are the main reasons to step up from a C series set, while the picture difference can look small in side by side viewing unless the room really challenges the screen. The deal price is strong versus other retailers, though tax, installation, mounting, and the optional soundbar bundle can change the total. It reads as a solid G series value if the extra brightness matters.
Common Questions (5)
The G5 is mainly brighter and uses the newer tandem OLED panel, which can matter in very bright rooms or direct sunlight. For typical movie-night use, some side-by-side comparisons found only a small difference, so the upgrade may not be worth the extra cost unless you need the extra brightness.
Only if you specifically want the G5's brighter panel and tandem OLED benefits. Several comparisons found the difference small in normal home viewing, so a C5 can be the better value if you already have one or do not need the extra brightness.
No installation or tax is included, and the listed deal is for the TV without the soundbar. A soundbar bundle is available for about $351 more, and setup or mounting may add extra cost if you need help unboxing or wall-mounting.
Yes. Even after the price moved from $2349 to $2459, it still undercuts the LG Partner Store at $2999 and Greentoe at $2699. It is less of a price-mistake level bargain, but still a strong deal for the G-series.
Not necessarily. One buyer noted the LG stand costs about $200, so if you cannot wall-mount, you may need to budget for a separate stand or pedestal.
