Ingersoll Rand's stuff is solid, but are any home gamers still buying these instead of going battery at this point?

For me, the ease of M12 has beat out wanting to get air tools.
I've thought about air in the past, but after realizing I'd have to spec up my compressor, deal with the noise, and then I'm stuck to where I run air lines so I can't run around with the tools in a bag.

Air tools are fun. But with the use of battery power tools they have come for the most part obsolete depending on what you're trying to do..

I've pretty much written off almost all my old air tools in favor of my battery powered dewalt, Milwaukee, Bosch and Ryobi cordless stuff. However I'm glad I still had my Ingersoll 1/2" drive air impact when I was replacing my RV steering Gear in my driveway. The Gearbox mounting bolts are 7/8"-9, and the nuts were torqued to 500+ ft lbs of torque. My Dewalt 1/2" high torque impact was too large to fit in a tight spot, and way too weak using a universal and socket extension. And unfortunately I didn't have enough ground clearance to use a cheater on my 18" breaker bar. The old Ingersoll air impact saved the day with its compact size. I'm sure there are a still more situations like this, where most air tools still maintain a smaller size to power ratio versus their battery powered equivalents. Although some of the Milwaukee M12 stuff is probably right there with the Air tools in size to power ratio.
