Not bad. I've never had issues with the M12 4.0 and it comes with the best one, the 5.0. The M12 6.0 I avoid as I've killed 2 of them.

It would be a good deal if that price per Ah was for M18, 18-Volt system

I think this is a great deal.
Price is good, but even better is these two batteries are the sweet spot for M12. The regular 4.0 and the HO5.0 are the two best batteries in the M12 lineup for heavy work, in my opinion.
There have been some deals on the 3.0, which is the same size as the 4.0 (so I personally wouldn't bother getting them), and there have been deals on the 6.0 which are known to have issues.

If you want Milwaukee branded batteries, it's fantastic. If you just want batteries that make your tools go, it's meh. You can get 4 generic batteries from Amazon for $20 less and they work just as good as these

Above the price it says 'contains 2 batteries'. Maybe a mistake on HD's part? About to purchase.

The two are 4.0 and the third one is 5.0

It says it is a 2 pack of the 4.0 battery with an extra 5.0 for a total of three!

Good deal, I got the Fastner's Inc deal last month 2 3aH for $55 plus $6 postage. I would've preferred this deal, but even I barely need more than the compact 1.5 aH batteries with my DIY projects.

How many batteries do you 'need'? The 5.0s give a bit more power in some tools. The difference is noticeable in my vacuum, detail sander, and a couple others.

But at the same time, if you really needed power you'd probably use something else anyway.

Neither. $50 for a 5.0 is great. 4.0's aren't "great" at ~$35 ea. This is solid. Def not meh, but not great either. We've seen 2x5.0's recently for $100. Since they're a much better technology, the 4.0's just don't compare on a $/Ah basis
