Great deal. My older xm4 is still working fine so I can't justify getting an upgrade.

I wonder why is there so many refurbished xm6's lately. Why so many people are returning it if these are "the best"

Same happened when the XM5 first dropped and I thought the same thing. Secondipity was selling refurbs for about $185 in 2022 months after the XM5s dropped. I didnt bite and the refurbished price didnt hit that low again until last year. I haven't been following on Reddit to see if these have the same hinge flaw or something else that would necessitate returns in bulk.

It's not the 'best'. All marketing. It feels unpolished with a lot of gimmicks. For example, it won't detect in-use when you play radio or talk audio without continuous music and turns itself off after 10-15 mins, which is really annoying. Plus it insists on playing some intro on power on by reading your texts, calendar and email and announcing things that is a hassle to track down and turn off after each update. Plus the auto turn off doesn't work well because of the clumsy app and software. So often you end up without battery when you need it or you can't use it without fiddling with the app. The noise cancellation is 3/5 at best. It fails to cancel out even regular noise at max setting. Resets the noise cancelling preference after use and insists on using 'AI' to set automatically and override my preferences.

A decade+ old Bose I still own gets me absolute silence. Overall it's meh in daily usage.

I have xm4's that i really like as noise canceling and comfort. I also have Bose and i think it has better sound and decent noise canceling. I recently got Beats studio pro and was blown away with the spacious sound, but not as good noise canceling. I will pick up Beats any time if i don't need much noise canceling, the sound is very impressive.

Because technology isn't something everyone feels the need to keep. Lots of people get something and return it regardless how good it is. Whether it be they realize they don't need an upgrade or it didn't fit their need etc Often times refurbished products this early on are just brand new products from open box but depending what store gets them back they don't resell open box products etc

If I paid full price for these, I would return. They don't livee up to the promise.

I have a Paze promotion through Chase, $50 statement credit for a $100+ spend through Paze with a Chase card. Newegg is an eligible Paze merchant. Thought this could be helpful for someone out thereSmilie

I bought this for $250 via eBay from the same seller. They came without a box but were in New condition, even the wires were still in original packaging. It came with 2 year all state warranty.
