It's not the 'best'. All marketing. It feels unpolished with a lot of gimmicks. For example, it won't detect in-use when you play radio or talk audio without continuous music and turns itself off after 10-15 mins, which is really annoying. Plus it insists on playing some intro on power on by reading your texts, calendar and email and announcing things that is a hassle to track down and turn off after each update. Plus the auto turn off doesn't work well because of the clumsy app and software. So often you end up without battery when you need it or you can't use it without fiddling with the app. The noise cancellation is 3/5 at best. It fails to cancel out even regular noise at max setting. Resets the noise cancelling preference after use and insists on using 'AI' to set automatically and override my preferences.

Sounds like you are just incompetent. Absolutely none of the issues you listed are a problem for me. I don't care for Sony, but I'm also not about to pretend everything is wrong with these like some dipshit who can't even quote people properly.

I own the XM6, my wife owns the XM5. They are great headphones, the app has tons of controls that are easy-to-use, and the ANC is very good. This is a great price for the product. There are other headphones out there that are similar--surprise, surprise, that's what brand competition IS. If you can't manage to understand technology at all, then stick to stuffing cotton in your ears.

Same here, except I've got XM3s that I've been using almost daily since 2019, and they still work flawlessly. Only ever had to replace the ear pads for $20.

Ive had the XM1, 2, 4 and 5 and I wont buy another set new, the refurb xm5's i got from ebay looked brand new and had all the factory accessories.
