Yes, the pockets are a bit small but, as you say, cannot beat the price. I bought ten of these, figuring it was a lifetime supply, 3 or 4 years ago and they have been doing the job just fine. What I bought were 32s and 34s, though, and those are not available today. Anyone worrying about them looking like "Do Jeans" is overthinking things. Of course they do, but, so what?

I believe Kirkland is Costco's brand & I don't like items of company's brands that make food, clothes, & whatever else Kirkland manufactures. Same goes with Amazon's essentials products or items on their site with brand name that You can't find anywhere else.
