LG's 77 inch G5 OLED is being framed as a major step up for bright rooms and high end gaming, with standout brightness and 165 hertz making a big difference in demanding content. The price is described as unusually strong for new condition, even below EPP, and the panel is treated as a top tier set that should stay competitive for years. The main caveat is that the listed price appears tied to a business account, so it may not show for personal accounts. Direct window glare may still favor a brighter alternative.
Bright-room movie watchers with large windows, because the panel's extra brightness helps when daylight hits the screen directly.
The listing is for a new TV, not a used set. The renewed option is separate and was shown at $2797.97, while the new business-price listing was visible around $2269 to $2299.
The G5's brightness is a strong fit for bright rooms and can be a major upgrade if a C3 feels dim near large north-facing windows. If sunlight hits the screen directly, a Samsung S95F may be the better choice for reflection handling, but it is unlikely to match this price.
The G5 is described as a generational leap from a C1 and a major step up from a C3, with noticeably higher brightness and 165Hz support. It is expected to remain a top-tier TV for several years, and the 77-inch G5 panel is said to be similar to the upcoming C6.
The deal appears to be a business price, which can show up differently from a personal account. That explains why some users only saw higher pricing or a different listing when opening the link.
Should I pull the trigger on this? C3 moves to the basement and G5 becomes the main TV in a bright room. 3 huge north facing windows where I have sometimes wanted a brighter display.

Well, going from a C1 to a G5... yes you should do it.
The G5 was an absurd upgrade over the G4; the G6 is going to be a very minor upgrade over the G5. The G5 has basically fully-depreciated from launch MSRP. Even if there could be a deal for $100 less in the future, it isn't worth it to 1. possibly miss it 2. it never happens.
It is a generational-leap product and will remain a top-TV for multiple years. You are unlikely to be able to get this performance at this price ever again. You know what the LG OLEDs are all about, this has been out long enough so that any possible issues are known.
If you are in the market, yes. If you are just wondering bc you saw a sweet deal - yes, because the upgrade is beyond believable. Check the C3 specs on RTINGS, compare to G5. It's hard to explain to someone, and maybe it won't matter for the content u consume, but having that brightness, and 165hz, in something like Cyberpunk 2077 - the experience is akin to the first time you used an OLED. It's a big deal.
(Obviously don't buy if you cannot afford lol)
That included taxes tho the lowest Amazon was 2400 ish plus tax idk not that different This is used price
This is not used. I have it in my cart right now. Already purchase one. I went to see and it is still there and listed at the price I stated. New. The renewed one is $2797.97. And not from Beach Camera. Literally just used my link to go to Amazon and take these screenshots. 0923 central time. https://imgur.com/a/zopw6ol

Oh ok! So I mean still just a few hundred less than the other deal maybe $200 I got from EPP store paid like 2800 but came with install and a soundbar I'm gonna sell so probably paid $2600 or $2500 after the fact but then this doesn't have install and I can't install on my own which is $100-200 so idk I won't sweat it this is an amazing deal tho $2250 plus tax tho

Yes but if the windows hit the display directly look at s95F but I doubt it will be close to this price so run don't walk
I just refreshed my cart again and it jumped to $2299
I mean this price is amazing lol lower than EPP I would buy at 2300 I just bought for $2800 after taxes lol but got a bunch of goodies and install - final price like $2600 once I sell goodies But I am watching it and I love the tv lol even next year you won't get anything better but the c6 will have similar panel to g5 on 77 inch size tho
This is the business price. (You can see that in the image the OP posted) That may be why some people are not seeing this price for new if you are in a personal account. Although it appears to have gone up to $2299 now which still feels amazing for New condition.
