You can buy an Ubiquiti managed 2.5gbps switch for $50. The Ubiquiti can be powered by usb-C or PoE and has a small form factor. It's one of the few Ubiquiti items that isn't overpriced. I wouldn't buy this Netgear switch.

I tried to find one, but couldn't. Got a link?

Yep. Nice little switch and nice being able to power it with USB-C OR PoE+. Only thing that could make it better is PoE+ passthrough to be able to power it and an AP at the same time.
Note: If you want it to function as a managed switch (i.e. with VLAN tagging), you'll need Unifi Network/Controller either on a gateway like the UCG-Max or UCG-Fiber, or you can spin it up in a docker container on a server.

Does the Ubiquiti switch offer its own management interface, or does it need to be adopted by a Ubiquiti controller to be managed?

It doesn't look like it has a web interface so you would need the Unifi controller to use the managed features. I use this in my TP-Link Omada setup but don't use VLAN features at the moment, so it's acting as a regular 2.5G switch.
