I just bought that Lenovo deal with the AMD CPU and the 5050 but darn it if I saw this I probably wouldve jumped on it for 32GB ram and it being from Costco. Anyone to sway me one way or the other? Ive noticed Acer laptops arent rated too highly on Costco.

The 5050 is vastly more powerful than the integrated graphics on this. Gaming vs standard use. That is the main decision maker. What other specs on the Lenovo? RAM, screen res, storage, screen type.

Ryzen AI 5 340 (vastly inferior), 16GB LPDDR5X memory (Soldered), 1TB SSD and RTX 5050. I think display is 2.8K OLED 120Hz (far better than this Acer). The only downsides are less powerful Processor and 16GB soldered memory.

That's an odd combo. A good discrete graphics card with a lesser CPU when CPU bounds things usually. But then pair it with a nice screen upgrade, but then limit it with only 16 gigs of RAM. Ugh.

I'm holding out for a 2k touch OLED, 32 gigs, and an Intel 285H deal with a 16" or 17" screen.

Thats the one, it was an odd combo but I needed a new laptop shipped by end of week and I missed that other Lenovo with the 255H. Seems like 32Gb is going to be elusive for a while.

Already there but around 1K. HP Omnibook 7 16 in Costco. Regarding your complain about the odd combination of hardware in the IdeaPad pro, it is a valid observation. This time, all the semi-premium to premium Gaming laptops and Prosumer Lenovo laptops based on AMD hardware, are designed by Intel.
Under the same series, you will perfect set of combonation of CPU, GPU, Screen on Intel laptops but their AMD counterparts are weirdly configured. A very example is the Ideapad Pro 16 series. The intel version comes with Arrow Lake H series (Ultra 9 285H or Ultra 7 255H) series CPU, RTX 5050 GPU, up to 32GB of Ram and 2.8K OLED display 120Hz.
Now move to AMD and you will see weried confogurations. The max Ram is 16GB across all the variants, which alone drive a lot of people away. Now Processor, you expect it to has the AMD Strix Point APUs, right (Ryzen AI 9 365 and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370), offering similar performance of the Arrow Lake H series? No, instead they max out to AMD Kraken Point based APUs, Ryzen AI 5 340 to Ryzen AI 5 350, which AMD released as compepetior of Intel Lunar Lake series, optimized for battery life over performance.

For gaming laptops, just check the 2025 Legion 5 Laptops with 15.1" Screen. The Inte version comes with their ultra high performance Arrow Lake HX series, like Ultra 7 255HX and Ultra 9 275HX. So, you would expect AMD version to have similarly powerful Ryzen 9 9955HX 16C/32T CPU, offering similar performance, thermals and slightly lower power consumptiom. No, they does not even come with Ryzen AI 9 series, instead comes with same Kraken Point Ryzen AI 350 8 Core (4 Zen 5 + 4 Zen 5c). The AI 9 365 ad AI 9 HX 370 SKus are not even there. But they share same chassis, same cooling and it is pretty obvious, if they can cool that Intel HX series, they can cool AMD Fire Range 9000HX series as well. Instead, they come with Kraken point, designed for battery life in Ultra slim and thin laptops.
