i have this vest and it gets the job done but it is pretty bulky. I would look elsewhere.

wow, an item I actually have and have used extensively!

This vest has been huge for me, though I have graduated from walks/jogs to a stepper which I feel like is a more effective use of my time. I was walking / jogging on a treadmill with this and it did hop a bit while jogging which is tough on the shoulders on a longer distance. I did about 3 miles a day for months with this and lost a fair bit of weight, but it can be tough on the shoulders if you do not use the included pads (which aren't super-easy to slip on/off) and you are not just walking.

I don't have a lot of experience with vests, but of the few in this weight I have used, this was the most comfortable while not running... if you are using this to run, I would consider spending more money as an investment in yourself.

Agreed. While it is bulky, I find it comfortable for 1.5 to 2 mile walks. I use all the weight in it so maybe if we took out the max capacity, it would be slimmer.

I've done plenty of walking and running, but never tried a weighted vest. Any tips? Would this be good for someone in pretty good shape as an add-on for a daily walk of about 1.5-2 miles?

Supposedly for zone 2 cardio, you're tapping into fat burning and increasing the mitochondria to make using fat as fuel easier for your body. It's generally slightly out of breath but still able to talk. So a weighted vest would keep the bpm at the zone 2 range while at a slower speed.

bought the 20 lb vest different brand that goes n sale sometimes. My basic treadmill doesn't have incline so eventually I'll use once I get into a more routine for walking. Right now I just do slow to moderate walking for 30-40 mins. With a waist trainer belt. I've heard those aren't good but it helps me with posture a bit and get decent sweat from it

I actually dont think weighted vest walking is that beneficial for someone that is in pretty good shape. I used it for a while walking and it didnt even increase my heart rate much at all except for maybe going up a hill. I find it better to just do cardio/conditioning seperate. The weight vest is great for calisthenics though.
Also FWIW weight vest walking made my knee joints ache different from anything Ive ever done and I do lunges/squats/runs etc 3x-5x a week.

Yes, 100%, you can't out run a bad diet (former marathon runner here), however don't discount the placebo effect of new workouts gear for motivation. Start working out more start wanting to see more loses, looks more into portion sizes etc...
