Biscuits are native to the U.S. and Chick Fil A was founded in Georgia, the U.S. south.
I remember my first time ever having biscuits and gravy and it was a new concept to me. It actually was not in Texas (Texans consider itself the South, some would state the Midwest) and not where I am at currently; it was in Flagstaff Arizona of all places.
Before, I only knew about cereal, muffins (not the English kind), omelets, pancakes, and waffles.
I actually have a beef about English Muffins. Why do they call the Egg McMuffin an Egg McMuffin if one with sausage and egg is called Sausage McMuffin with Egg? Should it not be Canadian Bacon McMuffin with Egg? And why did McDonald's sell out to the English and Canada (it was started by a franchise owner in Chicago who thought it would be a great idea to try English Muffins with Canadian bacon at breakfast and then it caught on)? Fun fact: English Muffins are English (founded, not actually first to create, in the U.S. by Samuel Bath, an English immigrant, who decided to introduce this product to the U.S.),
Biscuits, unfortunately, would be the breakfast sandwiches with all U.S. fast food chains if they were not so multinational.
Personally, I hate English muffins. I have had a bad experience with Thomas muffins. If I eat them with anything other than egg and cheese (usually jam, jelly or marmalade); I end up getting a stomachache. I still cannot figure out what it is.
