What if the tabletop is a bit larger than what is recommended but the totalWeight of the desk + stuff is way less than 225lbs? I have a top that is 7' x 3'3".
I have some excellent news for you. I was in the same boat, had this exact desk frame sitting around because I was almost certain I would need to buy a new (smaller) table top and go through the finishing process. Turns out, this base is exceptionally solid and was able to handle my 98" Ikea Karlby countertop just fine. It weighs 86lbs, but it's absolutely zero issue for the desk. My PC is another 50lbs, so I placed it on the ground so as to not risk any issues with overloading the desk. But yeah, I'm extremely impressed. The countertop is solid enough to where the ends dont sag at all either.

does anyone know how much weights it can hold? it says 225lb. this inlcude that top or not? for example, I can but a 100lb top it include the rest is only 125lb weight can hold? thanks
This doesn't come with a top so 225 would be the total weight including what ever top you buy. So you example is correct.

well to be technical, the 225lb limit is what the motors can safely raise/lower. I am sure that in a static scenario, the frame will be able to support much more than the 225lb.
N yes, the 225lb is the total limit so the 100lb top will allow only 125lb additional items on the table top before which the motors will become incapable of working properly.

be careful, this company bribes for removal of disappointing reviews and their rating should not be heavily considered. they reached out to me and said they'd reimburse me, after i first delete my review. i'd definitely pay attention to the bad reviews.
i got this in december. it came with issues, saying that the motor was disconnected and also the anti-collision was showing, when there was nothing to bump into. you can see my review, currently at 2 stars, but i will need to update it with new info, after conversing with them. "Breaking within 1 month of using" is the review title and has a video showing it.
i made a replacement through amazon, not a warranty claim through the company. apparently the company TOPSKY considers that as using the warranty. you only get one chance for warranty claims. that doesnt sound like good customer service, if they were just providing me a "working" product, when it first came broken. bribing and requiring the review removal first also does not seem like customer service.
my current unit saw an issue and makes a loud banging noise when moving for the first time after awhile.

It took me two tries, but I did just get it to work now. The first time i did it, it showed up as some sort of "Credit" to my account (but only the $20 taken off the price?), but i removed from cart, tried again, and it worked fine with the full $88 removed.

I previously made a sit/stand desk using linear actuators within wooden legs and a raspberry pi for control. With my 6 monitors and other things on the desktop, the actuators struggled to move it up and down. This frame has been solid so far and raises and lowers my 6'x3' solid wood top, monitors, and desktop computer mounted on the underside with ease. It's also a heck of a lot quieter than the previous actuators. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

I found great pricing on butcher block tables from Floor and Decor. 60"x30" acacia for example is $169. I got white oak for $199 and putting on a Natura one-coat finish on it today to pair with this base. Many butcher block workbench tops are likely sold unfinished. Sanding and applying a finish isn't too hard but it adds about $50 in needed materials if you don't have them on-hand (sand paper, rags, white scrubbing pads, the finish…). I'd skip buying a butcher block table from Lowe's. They outsource it and if you have issues, they want you to call their vendor. Nope.
