Derp. Absolutely not true, RAM only matters if you're processing on the CPU not the GPU. If its the CPU then you need a monster CPU in addition to lots of RAM. A 9850X3D is a bad choice for running AI models.

If you click through, at least as of right now, if you bought the RAM alone it comes with WB Black SN7100 4TB SSD as a freebie. So the RAM + SSD is $1700, not $1700+$500. Also there is no need to get this specific RAM, mobo, or CPU as you can get slightly different ones for less that are comparably performant. Like the 9800X3D CPU is like ~98% as good, for less money. It's still a good deal but these numbers are inflated.

This combo is a bit bizarre. For anything you would need 128GB of RAM for, this is not the processor you would want.

Put 32GB Ram and decent 2TB Hard disk and a 5070ti GPU and get more sales is my guess, that much RAM with that CPU is a waste.
