Thoughts? can't go wrong w 75" at tree fiddy, can you?

Edit:
OOF - i guess you CAN go wrong.
The Samsung U7900F is a poor TV. It's best suited for watching shows in a light-controlled room. It's not bright enough to overcome glare, and it has sub-par black levels with no local dimming, so it doesn't look good in a dark room, either. It can't display a wide range of colors, but it has good accuracy in SDR out of the box. Gamers will appreciate its low input lag, ensuring a responsive gaming experience overall, but it has poor motion handling, and there's a lot of blur behind fast-moving objects. On the other hand, it has okay processing, so low-resolution and low-quality content looks okay.

I don't know if the F makes a difference or not, in the model number

Yea a lot of samsung TVs are average to mediocre at best like this one.

If youre not too picky and just want a large screen then this is ok. If not save up a little more for better.

I can't believe how cheap tvs have gotten over the years. Last year at bjs I scored a lg 75" 312$ out the door clearance , last years model . I thought I killed it as far as getting a deal , not so much! I come in here to say I have a Samsung 65" a few years old probably equivalent to this model (lower tier Samsung ) just an older model. It's been a great tv I'm not fancy , I use it to watch cable, play ps5 , I really enjoy Samsung plus tv over cable or the lg streaming tv or the fire stick most of the time . It was my main tv several years and had no complaints lights on lights off and in between.

You have been here long enough to know....use your OWN judgement. I've bought many GREAT items here over many years that get the "it's junk treatment".

Everyone's been indoctrinated by Rtings. You HAVE to blow off their reviews. They measure things that don't matter and lessen the priority of things that do matter. Samsungs don't have dirt cheap MiniLeds with thousands of nits but what they have is accuracy, clarity, and great processing at every level. The processing and upscaling to me is simply superior to what I see from Chinese tvs. There's tons of content streaming that is not in 4k and does not have HDR. I owned a TCL QM7 for a week before I had to return it. It just didn't have a sharp picture. Upscaling was terrible. Every Samsung I've ever owned had a clear picture. Ever notice the demos for TCL and Hisense in the stores? Paint cans, food, athletes, but no real films. LG, Samsung, and Sony demos usually include real movies. TCL and Hisense demos are made specifically to make their tvs look awesome, but they are not real films or shows. They don't have enough faith in their tvs to show real programming.
