Or... if you're desperate enough to manufacture hype to justify the massive price tag and the debt that the data centers are going acquire just to keep them running

yeah, i bought a combo last summer with the same mobo and the 9800x3d and the Corsair Vengeance ram they bundled with it didnt support Expo, so ended up buying 64gb kit of Gskill Trident Z Neo CL30 for $275 to replace it. Now that gskill kit is $1200+ and sold the Corsair kit for $250 last month lol
seems most of their AMD combos are bundled with non expo ram for whatever reason, getting rid of old stock is my guess

Originally this bundle included the 4tb at this price but they took it out.

At this point, I would rather wait for DDR6 RAM to become mainstream and then get DDR5 RAM at a dirty cheap pricetag when AI companies refresh their server hardware.

Take it from an Equinix employee. We are not coming close to debt. You can't even make these comments without data centers in place. Our reoccurring monthly charges for interconnection easily pays for any and all computers hardware XD

methinks you're missing the point. while data centers are necessary, the RAMpocalypse is a direct result of an aggressive expansion by big tech into data centers dedicated to AI processing. As of now the amount of capital and resource investment does not warrant the economic return, much of its potential is just speculative with risky valuations. big capital groups like blackrock are pouring hundreds of billions into them, because frankly its just their customers money, and these loans are secured by physical assets. in tech yesterday's hardware rapidly depreciates in most cycles. big tech already structured their data center investments into SPVs.. special purpose vehicles which are "bankruptcy remote", this means even if they collapse it wont affect the parent company. in order to sustain the Ai bubble, there are systemic issues that take more than massive amounts of capital to overcome.. like institutional trust, regulatory or geopolitical changes which can be unpredictable. its not really as simple as a balance sheet.

Won't happen. Production is being shifted to HBM and DDR5 isn't being produced nearly as much. No consumer systems can use HBM so it will never recover.
