Nice. Note that though this comes with an HP battery it is not the HP multitool. The HP is a meaningful upgrade on this particular tool with tool-free blade changes, more versatile OIS blade connector, and decreased vibration and noise. Pull a lever to remove the blade, strong magnets help snap the new one into position at your choice of angle. With the base multitool you remove the onboard hex key, unscrew the blade holder, hold the new blade in place while you screw it back in, then return the hex key to its storage slot in the handle.

this is a pain in the butt to change blades - i have it but pull out my corded one instead because that one is toolless and takes one second and no tools to change the angle of the blade (which i seem to do want to do very often when an allen key is required)

Would never get one of these without a quick release. My 15 year old Craftsman has one and it's a breeze to swap blades and more importantly rotate a blade quickly if needed.

It takes a 5mm hex wrench which is included and attached to the tool about 5 seconds to change the blade. What else in your life do you think is a PITA. I'm curious.

In my experience, using Hex Allen Wrench to replace blade was not big deal but the blade came loose too often. I tried Ryobi and another brand, same experience - which irritated me a lot. Switched to Ryobi tool-less Multi tool and now Blade never gets loose.

any idea why a military discount would not work with this ? First time I can ever remember buying something from HD (including several Ryobi sale items) where it did not auto apply ? Thoughts ?
