The Amex deals are so bad I don't even bother checking the offers in my account anymore. The old days you could actually find a few useful and meaningful discounts. 8.33% discount off a $1,200 purchase just seems like a drop in the bucket.

I only look at them as icing on top of a bigger CB/discount cake.
