AVS is a part of the USB-PD 3.2 spec. It allows the charger to change the voltage to whatever the device requests, in much finer resolution than the large steps of the regular PD voltage profiles. This allows the device to specify the most optimal possible voltage and current combo for the current state of the battery, thus increasing charging speed and efficiency and reducing heat.
The only other charge on the market right now that does this is the Apple 40W (with 60W boost)
Community Reviews
Google Pixel Flex Dual Port 67W is a compact two port charger built around USB PD 3.2 with AVS, which should help it deliver more precise voltage, better efficiency, and less heat. It can supply up to 67W from either port with one device connected, 60W per port with two devices, and 67.5W total when both are in use. It has been described as fast and solidly built, and it has handled a Chromebook, phone, and even a finicky work laptop on travel. The main drawback is price, since comparable two port options can cost less and the value depends on whether AVS support matters for your laptop or phone.

Is this expensive just due to the Pixel-only smart prioritization? Is there any other reason to spend this much?
