So close to all the things I wanted - except USB/Serial out. Would be nice to be able to track the status of the UPS using some sort of monitoring software.

So the regular price on Amazon - if you notice on the right side - is $179.99; the MSRP is $209.99... so isn't it just a 7%-ish discount rather than 20% like Amazon is trying to say?

I had the 1000W/800VA version of this and had to warranty it as it did not keep the equipment up if there were multiple power events in a short period of time, say 5-10 seconds. It looked like it would reboot itself taking the connected equipment down with it. Goldenmate ended up just giving me a refund on the unit.
If you go over voltage, system beeps and shuts down. Pros of this: safety Cons: you must be 100% sure of voltage otherwise it becomes an annoyance.
My example - just need the battery to maintain bidet settings. During winter, it ramps up and uses more electricity - bidet cuts off after 20 seconds due to safety feature. Literally a pain in my butt !!!

There's a "Pro" model for $200 that has usb communication port.
Wouldn't a power station be a better option? More versatile.
Historically power stations had too slow a transfer time. The latest Ecoflows all aim for the 10ms standard for UPSs. The same 10ms that this UPS fails to hit.

I have this model and it's been great for keeping my PC up during voltage dips in my old house, and the few quick power blips. I plan to get another for the networking equipment when my APC dies unless a really good power station deal comes around.
