As far as oil goes, the average engine is going to be far better served by changing a less expensive oil more frequently then a more expensive oil less frequently as long as the oil meets the API specification required by the car manufacturer. My current daily driver gets Supertech or Providence full syn every 4-5k miles. Previous daily was a 2006 E350 van which had 302k on the odo before being side swiped and totaled following a similar service schedule. Oil is cheap, engines are not.

I do prefer Mobil 1 but given Castrol Edge and Pennzoil Platinum have ongoing rebates, I'll just use them.

So I bought 4 3-packs to cover my fleet of vehicles. 4 of the 12 jugs have broken foil seals and are leaking oil everywhere, I had to return 3 of the 3-packs because i refuse to put opened oil into my engines. Don't think I'm going to buy oil from walmart again despite having good luck with previous oil shipments from them. Returning these open oil containers to walmart was fine but they are beginning to suspect me as a scammer. Instead of ordering replacements, I just canceled any remaining orders. Maybe it is this lasership courier service that is to blame, not sure. (edited because i got another damaged shipment).
