Per ifixit, it's all screws and rubber seals (no glue), so technically should be fairly easy to replace. But I doubt you'll need to. I had my 5x Plus for 6 years and only at the very end was battery degradation noticeable (even then it still held 5-7 days of charge). My 7x Pro is only a year old, but the battery still holds 20-30 days of charge at a time. Probably helps that I only recharge it once it gets below 60%, so every 10-15 days. I think by the time you really start to notice the battery life going down, you'll be ready for a new watch anyway.

I'm a runner whose old Apple Watch can barely last half a day now and/or 10 mile run and looking to get something not Apple.
How long is the battery life with all the wellness sensors running? Is the sleep tracking good?

This thing runs forever, largely because it has the MIP screen (always on, daylight visible, but needs a backlight at night) not the AMOLED. I leave the HR sensor on all the time, the O2 one runs for several hours every night during sleep tracking, and I only charge it every week or two when the battery nears 50%. Granted, I use it mostly as a smart watch and not frequently for GPS. Still, last summer we did a 3-day overnight that included 6 hrs of hiking each day where I had the GPS on every time we hiked. Started at 100% the morning we left, and it was at like 50% when we got home.
The sleep tracking is pretty good and includes HR, HRV, O2, breath rate, skin temp, movement, and sleep stages. My only gripe with the sleep tracking is that you can't manually start or stop it, it's always automatically detected, so sometimes it can be way off. You can go back and edit the sleep times through the app though.

Thanks - that's a really great summary. I've tried sleep tracking on a few devices and none of them have been accurate. I'm using a Fitbit Charge 6 right now just for that and it's way off. Tells me I've had a great sleep when I've been up for an hour with a screaming baby.
