Does the Segway have any spec sheet advantage over the Mega 2? The OUPES has an additional AC outlet, higher output and surge, and significantly higher input charging.
I agree that Segway is more of a known brand, but I'm not sure "way better" is justified as there is no data to support the claim. I agree that OUPES might end up being a gone-overnight brand and their 6-year warranty could end up meaning nothing. Regarding customer support, I'm going to need you to provide more evidence of them not honoring their warranty as nothing I can find backs up the claim. It sounds like you may have had a bad experience with them - and yes, your experience is totally valid - but I don't think many people have had your experience.

The Mega 2 stands out as a higher output portable power station with useful RV and backup features, including a TT 30R socket, an extra AC outlet, higher input charging, and a 12V 30A Anderson port that can run a diesel heater. Expansion is a major draw too, since it can pair with a B2 for about 4000Wh and add more capacity later. The main concerns are price versus the Mega 1 or other alternatives, plus repeated complaints about customer support, delayed refunds, and warranty handling. A practical pick if those ports and expansion matter more than the extra cost.
Common Questions (6)
Support experiences range from fast, direct replies and quick shipping to stalled returns, delayed refunds, and concerns about warranty claims not being honored. The practical takeaway is that the 6-year warranty may not be enough on its own if you want strong post-sale support.
Yes. It includes a 12V 30A Anderson port, which can run a diesel heater and is useful for other high-current 12V accessories. That port is one of the main reasons it can be worth paying more than a smaller unit.
Yes, the Mega 2 can be expanded with a B2 battery, and one setup reported using a B2 to reach about 4000Wh total. The Mega 1 cannot be connected to another Mega 1 via expansion port, so the Mega 2 is the better choice if you want built-in expansion flexibility.
It is mainly worth the extra cost if you need the TT-30R outlet, the Anderson port, higher output/surge, higher input charging, or expansion options. If you do not need those features, several comments suggest the Mega 1 or even two Mega 1 units can be the better value.
Yes, adding a second battery or unit can increase total capacity and let you place power closer to appliances, reducing cord runs. That approach is also attractive for redundancy, since one device can fail without taking all capacity offline.
It has a TT-30R 120V socket, which is the key outlet for RV hookups and can also be the minimum needed for some home-panel interlock setups. For true 240V home backup, the Guardian series is the better fit.

This is a big selling point they did not mention it

However, since the Mega 2 includes an Anderson port and this is all new to me, what are other common use cases for this port besides a diesel heater?

I'm also fairly certain you can't connect a Mega 1 to another Mega 1 via expansion port, only add B2/B5 batteries (or do the hack and save yourself a fair bit of money). So if you want more than 1024Wh and aren't willing to do the hack, it doesn't make sense to buy two Mega 1s over a Mega 2.
I still agree with the thought process, though. Personally, if you don't specifically need the TT-30R for an RV, the real value here is to buy a Mega 1 and do the hack. If a person wants to do an interlock for true home backup, it makes more sense to me to upgrade to the Guardian series which does 240V.
