Couple years ago Anthropologie released one of these arch cabinets for $2700. Really nice looking but too expensive for me.
Since then, Sam's Club made a $600 version (which I bought) and now there is a $200 Walmart version. Moral of the story is that if you see a nice piece of designer furniture you can't afford - no worries, there will be a cheap knockoff on the horizon Smilie

I think most will find it annoying not to have a flat n surface to put a lamp or picture frame.

Yeah except you're not getting wood or even quality for the $200.
Not that I can afford the 2700 or even the Sam's 600 myself. Was the Sam's at least real wood?

Plywood material will lots of gripes on Walmart website about damaged items and slow Walmart response as well as misaligned predrilled holes that make assembly difficult to impossible. would review these comments. There's a reason why this is so discounted.

Link to Sam's Club version: on sale for $399. Seems to me that Sam's Club's is better for a little more, better reviews and cheaper assembly too ($69) for those who do not want to assemble themselves

Sam's Club one seems like a better quality product, has better reviews, metallic handles, and also saves some dough for assembly. I guess some people will go for the 'cheapest' available product, while some go for a better quality product and seek deal there. You belong to the "Cheap" category, not "Slickdealer" category who goes goes for better value.

Yeah, "a little" doesn't usually mean 2x to me. But there's somebody in almost every thread here who says the linked product isn't good enough and you should just spend double on something else that they think is better, even if OP's product might be perfectly functional. Par for the SD course.

ours arrived yesterday and got it all setup today. For the size and sub-200 price it's quite a nice piece, love the colors. Original retail would've been a bit high, especially if you expect it to get dinged up (kids, etc). The color layer doesn't seem particularly thick; I accidentally rubbed some off a corner when adjusting the doors. I can definitely understand why there were a lot of negative comments, almost all around damage from shipping. Thankfully ours arrived intact.

Pretty happy with the purchase. Probably going to order another.

Edit - And thanks for the downvote, person who owns neither product being discussed. At the $400 price point the Sam's option is better, but in the context of $200 vs $400 I have no regrets.

Only the frame is real wood on the Sam's club one.
