I like pliers in general, and these pliers in particular, but this is well within the range of normal price fluctuation/ algorithmic manipulation. When was the last time i saw an actually slick deal. i'm trying to remember.
Christ on a bike - 10% off anything is not a slick deal. It's a meager discount. 30-70+% is a slick deal, depending on MSRP / statistically avg price for a recent time period, etc.

Agreed. I have the Knipex Cobra's so this would need to be a fantastic SD for me to pull the trigger. However, if someone needs one now, ~10% off is better than nothing.
Have the Doyle brand from HF. Works fine & lifetime guarantee for less than $10. w/ coupon about 2 years ago.
One thing I found with knipex pliers is they are worth the price because 1) how often do you buy pliers? Buy once cry once. And 2) they are high quality, which means a smaller/thinner profile for getting into places, it means more strength in lighter weight so less strain on your hands, and it means tougher steel so it'll chew up things before it chews your tool, screws and bolts are cheap to replace, tools are not.

I don't even bother with knippex deals anymore. Not worth waiting around to save $2 and also risk a knock-off. I just pay the full price now because if you've used them (and shitty pliers) you know they are worth the price. In fact, I'd argue they're under priced with what you get. I feel like these should really be costing like $90 range.

I do not have a problem with your choice. For my money, HF's Doyle brand is a quality tool, perhaps not on a par w/ Knipex, but certainly very, very good & sufficient for the vast majority of folks. Perhaps you should check them out.
