Bob's Red Mill steel cut oats stand out for hearty texture, nutty flavor, and how well they work for overnight oats. They cook into a filling breakfast, and the leftovers keep for about a week, making them easy to batch prep. The main drawback is time, since stovetop cooking takes about 20 to 25 minutes. Price comparisons also point to cheaper bulk options elsewhere, so this fits best if you want the Bob's package and convenience.

  • people who make overnight oats because commenters say these steel cut oats work very easily for overnight oatmeal (about 1 cup oats + 3 cups hot water, then refrigerate and microwave in the morning) and they get a "very nice nutty flavor and good texture."

  • steel-cut oat eaters who want a filling, long-lasting pantry staple because commenters say the oats are "very filling" and that the product "keeps great," especially if you eat steel cut oats daily.

  • buyers who want a convenient package for steel cut oats because commenters compare the per-ounce cost favorably to bulk options while noting it's an "easier to use package" than buying a large bag.

  • people who are okay planning for a longer cook time because commenters report steel cut oats take about 20 minutes (or ~25 minutes) to cook, so the deal fits mornings where you can wait.

  • people who want the absolute lowest price per ounce for steel cut oats because commenters point out cheaper options like Aldi (under 10 cents/oz) and a Costco bulk bag that can be cheaper than this 4-pack deal.

  • buyers who want the fastest possible oatmeal because commenters say steel cut oats take around 20-25 minutes to cook, and they suggest quicker alternatives like "steel cut quick oats" for convenience.

  • people who are only comfortable with "clean"/organic sourcing because commenters note the "clean" claim applies to their Organic version, implying this non-organic deal may not match that expectation.

  • people who specifically want "glyphosate-free" certified oats because commenters say Bob's Red Mill doesn't explicitly claim certified glyphosate-free sourcing and recommend looking for Glyphosate Free certification instead.

I'm sure you've heard about roundup in oatmeal, this stuff is clean! I have this, the protein and quick options. This one is my favorite, but it takes about 20 mins to cook, so plan your morning accordingly. Small correction: Their Organic is clean, oops.

nothing, you'd have to buy their organic oatmeal for that, luckily it's the same price:

These are the best. You can do overnight oatmeal with these very easily, simply put a cup of these oats in a pot of three cups of hot water. Cover with lid and let them sit overnight. The next morning simply microwave a bowl full for about 3 minutes. Very nice nutty flavor and good texture. You can refrigerate the rest for a week or so.

Clean oatmeal? I hate when I buy oatmeal and it's covered in dirt. Glad to hear that's not the case here.

Oats are among the healthiest grains on earth. They're a gluten-free whole grain and a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants.
