It works with Apple's "Find My" Bluetooth network. So everyone's iPhones and AirTags and part of the same network as these IF you use them for iOS.

At $8.25 a tag vs $16 or so or a first gen AirTag, if you're in the Apple ecosystem it's easier just to go for the AirTag which gives 1+ year real world per battery (vs 3-9 months with these tags), and precision finding (which third party tags can't do).
