The MSRP on these just seems insanely inflated. Amazon sells variants of this for $2,000 at times, though some are tagged as "Frequently Returned Item"...

$999 is way better than $2k, and I noticed the chairs are OOS, but yesterday they had all the colors available for $999. So I think it was a very decent deal, maybe even a price mistake ...
They cancel the sale ....

These chairs cost about 150 to produce.
This year at CES I was told I can take a floor model home for $300, but responsible for transport.
To move these on the CES floor you need union members to do the work, but you can get away it toward the end of the show. I seriously considered it.
